Printing Tips to Help You Get More From Your Home Printer

Your home printer is an important investment that you will want to last as long as possible. Even a fairly basic printer can last you many years if you look after it properly, so make sure that you take care of your printer and it will continue to produce excellent results for a long time. Here are some tips to make sure you get the most from your printer over the years.
Save on Ink
If you want to save money when you print products then it makes sense to find cheap ink cartridges because these will save you money instantly on your printing. If you pay too much for your cartridges then you may be wasting your money, so try to find a more cost-effective solution.
But even after you have bought cheap ink cartridges, make sure that you get the most out of them so that the ink lasts longer. This means only printing using draft quality for unimportant documents because this uses less ink. You could even change the type of font to save ink. Use something like Garamond and you will save on the amount of ink being used.

Use Quality Ink Cartridges
If you use dodgy ink cartridges you can end up harming your printer, and the results won't be as good. You want the best results and you want to look after your printer, but you don't have to purchase expensive cartridges for this.
You can still purchase cheap ink cartridges that work fine, which could include genuine cartridges or even refilled cartridges which are even cheaper. Just make sure that you find a quality provider for your cheap ink cartridges and don't use a provider which you don't trust.
Treat Your Printer Well
Make sure that you look after your printer by dusting it down regularly and keeping it on a shelf or tabletop rather than the floor. If you don't use it for a while, print off a few test pages before you start to use it again, and you may even have to clean the nozzles from time to time to keep it in good working order. Every printer is different, so follow the instructions that come with the printer to keep it in the best condition for the longest time possible.
